todayJanuary 23, 2018

April Flores is confident there will be justice  for her son.   Flores’ son Logan Foster was shot and killed September 23  in the parking lot across the street from the Press Box tavern and two men were charged Monday in connection with the murder.    Bail was set at $1 million cash for both Devon Neuman and Jesse Schultz.   They are charged with first degree intentional homicide and robbery.  Flores says its been a difficult last four months.  “There’s an emptiness and a blank there,”  Flores told AM 1170s Between the Lines program.  “For six weeks I kind of lost it there pretty badly.  I had to come to terms with my belief in God and had to forgive the person who did it so I don’t have that hold on me,”  Flores said.   Flores says she believes her son was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.  “I don’t think my son was targeted.  I think he just happened to be the wrong one in their path.”   According to a criminal complaint police believe the motive for the attack was robbery.  Flores says ironically Logan used to play in that area when he was a child.  She remembers packing lunches for Logan and his older brother who would go fishing in that area along the river.  “They would go down there fishing and never had a fear of anything and its just kind of ironic that that’s where he lost his life.”    Flores says she can’t believe this type of violence is happening in Fond du lac.   “…that we have to live with that kind of fear for our kids or our grandkids.  No one should have to have that kind of fear.  I know its a big problem in the inner city but this is Fond du Lac.  Its just senseless.”
