On Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at approximately 10:00 am, the non-emergency phone lines answered by the Fond du Lac County 911 Center were put back in service. Citizens may once again use the non-emergency phone lines and should use 9-1-1 for emergencies only. A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
