CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (AP) — Hundreds of people gathered in Chippewa Falls to remember a Wisconsin native and former Minnesota resident who died in a charter plane crash in Costa Rica. MILWAUKEE (AP) — Wisconsin farmers produced smaller corn and soybean crops last year than in 2016, while potato production was up slightly.  The Agriculture Department reports that the state's soybean production was down 6 percent and grain corn production was down 11 percent. 1-16-18 snowmobile double fatal

PHILLIPS, Wis. (AP) — Two men are dead after a snowmobile crash in north-central Wisconsin.  The Price County Sheriff's Office says searchers found the bodies near Long Lake just before 2 a.m. Sunday, about two hours after the snowmobilers had been reported missing.  The initial investigation indicated the snowmobile had collided with the shoreline. The investigation is continuing.  The 33-year-old driver and 37-year-old passenger weren't immediately identified.

Dana Wachs says he has raised more than half a million dollars for his campaign for governor.  The Eau Claire attorney says he raised $514,454 between Aug. 7 and Dec. 31, and has $163,205 in cash on hand.
