MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Pentagon says it has identified a missing WWII serviceman from Wisconsin and he's being returned to his family for burial with full military honors. 1-27-18 suspicious person apprehended at rosenow elementary school

Fond du Lac police were called after a suspicious person walked onto the playground at a Fond du Lac elementary school  Friday.  School District Health and Safety coordinator Marian Sheridan  says a young adult male walked onto the Rosenow Elementary School playground acting and speaking inappropriately.  Sheridan told WFDL news school staff quickly brought students inside. A new AAA survey shows that more Americans are beginning to embrace self-driving vehicles.  The annual survey shows 63 percent of drivers report they are afraid to ride in a fully self-driving car, a significant decrease from the year before.   State AAA spokesman Nick Jarmuscz says the survey also found a gender and age gap when asked that question.  Women are more likely to be afraid then men and millennials […]

A new tobacco control report card shows Wisconsin is falling behind in efforts to reduce tobacco use.  The American Lung Association’s 2018  “State of Tobacco Control” report gave Wisconsin an A in only one category…smokefree workplace laws. And Walker's longtime political foes are cautioning that voters should focus on his record, not his promises. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Ethics Commission has decided to hold off on addressing whether to reappoint its leader after the state Senate refused to confirm him. The Ethics Commission voted 5-1 Thursday to leave Brian Bell's position open and readdress things at its Feb. 21 meeting. The commission has 45 days to fill the post. If it doesn't meet that deadline, the Legislature can pick a new administrator.
