One person was seriously injured in a pick-up versus tree crash in Dodge County. It happened early Saturday morning at the intersection of CTH S and STH 67. Investigators say the female driver failed to stop for a stop sign, left the road and slammed into a tree. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and the pick-up burst into flames. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. Once the fire was extinguished and the area searched, the female driver was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Assisting at the scene was Iron Ridge Fire and First Responders, Woodland Fire, Horicon EMS, Beaver Dam Paramedics, and Flight for Life. The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
