One person was seriously injured in a pickup versus tree crash in Dodge County. It happened early Saturday morning at the intersection of CTH S and STH 67. Investigators say the female driver failed to stop for a stop sign, left the road and slammed into a tree. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and the pickup burst into flames. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
