The union at Fond du Lac based Mercury Marine has a new contract. According to a company press release the new contract runs through August 2023. Details of the agreement, including wage and benefit increases were not made public. “Mercury Marine is committed to hiring and retaining the best workforce,” said John Pfeifer, Mercury Marine president. “Both the company and the IAMAW saw an opportunity to strengthen our partnership and worked very closely to put together an agreement that will benefit our employees and the company now and in the future. This new contract will allow us to be the employer of choice in the area and continue our goal of attracting and retaining the best talent.” Mercury Marine employs nearly 3,200 people at its global headquarters in Fond du Lac and more than 6,000 worldwide.
