A Watertown man received non life-threatening injuries in a snowmobile crash in Dodge County. It happened about 4am Thursday on Hwy. Q near Walton Road. The Sheriff’s Office says the 27 year old man was operating his snowmobile on the highway and on private property when he entered a plowed field and was thrown from the snowmobile. He was transported to Aurora Hospital in Summit with non-life-threatening injuries and arrested for Operating a Snowmobile while under the Influence.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
