A North Fond du Lac man charged in connection with a fatal crash has pleaded not guilty. At an arraignment hearing this week Travis Wollersheim entered the pleas to two counts of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle. He is accused of rear-ending a car that had slowed on Interstate 41 in a construction zone in Fond du lac in June of last year, killing two passengers in the car. A plea and sentencing hearing is scheduled for April 9. Wollersheim is free on a $20,000 signature bond.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
