A West Bend man convicted of the theft of items from storage units in Washington, Dodge and Fond du lac counties is going to prison. Arnold Carlson was sentenced in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court to three years in prison followed by a year and a half of extended supervision. Sheriff’s Lieutenant Cameron McGee says the break-ins were discovered when a sheriff’s deputy noticed locks missing on three storage units in Rosendale. Carlson was arrested in Washington County in August 2016 and investigators found a stolen item from the Rosendale burglary in his car. McGee says detectives executed a search warrant at the man’s home and found several stolen items. McGee says the stolen firearms were found in a storage unit the suspect had rented out. Investigators say the value of the stolen items was in excess of $100,000.
