2-23-18 law enforcement, first responders gather in fdl for active threat conference

todayFebruary 23, 2018

Hundreds of Wisconsin law enforcement, fire and EMS gathered in Fond du Lac this week learning about how to save lives when there is an active threat.   Fond du Lac Fire Chief  Pete O’Leary says the idea is that first responders, including EMS would go with police to treat victims who may be injured inside a building for example.  To that end O’Leary says Fond du Lac EMS personnel will be training with the SWAT team.  “We’re going to have some of our members on each of our shifts that will be specially trained.  They will train with SWAT,”  O’Leary told WFDL news.  The Wisconsin Active Threat Integrated Response Conference was held this week at the Fond du Lac Holiday Inn.
