2-15-18 fitzgerald says “structure” of prison overhaul plan may pass this session

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald says that only the "structure" of a juvenile justice overhaul plan may pass this session, leaving more work to be done next session. Fitzgerald reiterated to reporters Wednesday that passing the plan backed by Gov. Scott Walker and a bipartisan group of lawmakers is a "heavy lift in the amount of time we have."

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Department of Natural Resources confirms that a Wisconsin homeowner captured video of a cougar near their home. A surveillance camera captured the big cat walking outside a Washington County home last week. The DNR says the cougar was likely traveling through.
