The Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue Department is warning Fond du Lac residents about a dangerous fad involving teenagers popping laundry detergent pods in their mouths.   Fire chief Pete O’Leary says recent social media posts show teens biting into the pods and daring others to  do the same.  O’Leary says the pods contain chemicals that can be life-threatening if ingested.  The company Tide tweeted recently that the pods should […]

The Fond du Lac County Fair has announced that Jon Pardi will be performing at the Fair this summer. Tickets for the July 20 performance will go on sale February 12.  The country music star is known for his hits that include  “She Ain’t In It,” "Head over Boots," and “Dirt On My Boots.”  The fair will be held July 18 to 22.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker says he wants to increase tax credits to entice consumer products giant Kimberly-Clark to keep its manufacturing facilities open in Neenah and Fox Crossing.   The Dallas-based company said last week it was closing the facilities, resulting in a loss of 600 jobs.
