MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican lawmakers moved closer Thursday to enacting Gov. Scott Walker's plan to give parents a tax credit and create a sales tax holiday, moving the package through the Assembly and on to the Senate. 2-22-18 ripon man accused of cooking meth at his grandmother’s senior living apartment

A Ripon man is accused of manufacturing meth at his grandmother's senior living apartment while she was living in Alabama for the winter.  Twenty three year old Kyle Erdmann is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.  He is being held in the Fond du lac County Jail on $10,000 cash bond.  According to a criminal complaint  the grandmother told investigators that her grandson knew he was no longer welcome at her Kenwood Senior Living […]

2-22-18 former waupun woman charged with tax fraud

A former Waupun resident has been charged tax fraud.   A federal grand jury in Milwaukee has indicted 47-year Kimberly Bagneski on 13 counts of tax fraud.  Bagneski is accused of filing at least 20 false tax returns with the IRS seeking more than $90,000 in tax refunds, according to the indictment.

The Winnebagoland Conservation Alliance plans to start work this year on repairing public access roads to Lake Winnebago. 2-22-18 fdl building receives state historic designation

The Wisconsin Historical Society placed the Northern Casket Company building in Fond du Lac on the State Register of Historic Places.  The Northern Casket Company occupied the North Brooke Street building between 1905 and 1962.   The state Historical Society says the building remains one of the best surviving examples of Fond du Lac’s industrial heritage, of which very few buildings remain.
