Two people were treated for minor injuries after a UTV broke through the ice on Fox Lake Friday afternoon. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says a John Deere Gator UTV broke through the ice near the east shore of Chief Kuno trail. The driver, Clarence Feucht and passenger Raymond Jaroch were able to stand on the gator until they were assisted to shore by rescue personnel. Both occupants were treated transported to Beaver Dam Hospital for minor injuries. The DNR was notified and will be working with the owner to remove the UTV from the lake.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
