A Fond du Lac man arrested following a shooting incident last month has been charged. Thirty four year old Timothy Williams faces several charges including recklessly endangering safety, felon in possession of a firearm, operating a firearm while intoxicated, and discharging a firearm within 100 feet of a building. He is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on $50,000 cash bond. Police chief Bill Lamb says Williams fired his gun while being chased by three police officers and says investigators are still trying to determine if Williams was actually trying to shoot the officers. Lamb says its fortunate that nobody was hurt or killed.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
