Fond du Lac police have stepped up presence at Fond du Lac High School after a threat was made on social media. The post threatened to shoot up the school. Principal Matt Steinbarth sent a message to parents stating it was up to them whether to send their kids to school. Steinbarth says additional police officers are at the school and the threat is under investigation.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
