A Rubicon woman was seriously injured when she was accidentally run over by her car. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says the 67 year old woman was attempting to secure a child in the rear driver’s side seat when the vehicle began rolling backward after it was accidentally left in neutral. The woman was flown by helicopter to the hospital with serious upper body injuries. The incident happened at a residence at N4131 County Highway P in Rubicon.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
