Nobody was injured in a fire that significantly damaged a mobile home in Fond du Lac County. Firefighters were called this morning to the Daniel Foss residence on Oakwood Drive in the Woodland Trailer Park to find a bedroom on fire and the only occupant outside. Fire departments from North Fond du Lac, Eldorado, Eden, Lamartine and a RIT team from Mt. Calvary and Calumet responded; deputies from the Sheriff’s Office also responded. The fire is not suspicious in nature and under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office. The owner is being assisted further by the Red Cross.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
