Three people were treated for smoke inhalation following an apartment fire on West Scott Street. Firefighters were called to the scene at the River’s Edge apartments at 474 West Scott Street Monday afternoon and the fire was brought under control in less than an hour. Division Chief of Fire Prevention Troy Haase says food left on the stove started the fire. Two people were treated at the scene and one person was transported to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
