todayMarch 27, 2018

The Waupun School district administrator is stepping down.  Dr. Tonya Olson is resigning to accept a principal position at Belleville Elementary School.  In her resignation letter, Olson said the new position will allow her to spend more time with her family.   During her time as  superintendent  Dr. Olson helped lead the District through the approval and construction for a $36 million building referendum.  “The Waupun Area School District has been my home for the last six years.  During those years, I have admired our staff’s work ethic, nurturing attitude towards our students, and the perseverance displayed in spite of some hard times,”  Olson said.  “We have been able to accomplish a lot because we’ve worked hard, but have never lost the “human element” in all that we have done.”   Olson’s last day with the district will be June 30.   The school board plans to hire a search firm to assist with recruiting and hiring a new administrator.
