(AP) — New London police have sent piece of candy from a St. Patrick's Day parade to the State Crime Laboratory to see if it's tainted.  Police warned people not to eat candy they got at Saturday's parade over concerns it may be contaminated. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Longtime Republican state Rep. Lee Nerison says he won't seek re-election this fall.  Nerison, of Westby, announced Monday that he plans to retire from the Legislature. He has represented southwestern Wisconsin's 96th Assembly District since 2005. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Another Republican senator is calling it quits.  Terry Moulton of Chippewa Falls announced Monday that he won't seek a third term this fall.  He said that he has accomplished his goals of working for smaller government, a reduced tax burden and a better jobs climate. 3-19-18 one person dead after truck breaks through ice on beaver dam lake

One person has died after his truck broke through the ice on Beaver Dam Lake in Dodge County.   Rescue personnel were called to the scene shortly before 7am Monday for a report of a truck partially submerged in the lake.  One person was pulled from the lake and transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team  assisted at the scene.

3-19-18 beaver dam fire chief thanks area departments for assistance

3-19-18 fatal crash in dodge county

One person was killed in a one vehicle crash in Dodge County.  The crash happened shortly before 6pm Saturday on Highway E south of Perch Road in the town of Hustisford.  The Sheriff’s Office says a preliminary investigation shows a pick-up truck was southbound on E when the driver lost control, entered the ditch and overturned.  The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — The Bridger-Teton National Forest has acquired a sprawling former Wisconsin senator's ranch that had been the largest remaining private inholding in northwest Wyoming.  The $3 million purchase of the 990-acre property roughly 30 miles east of Jackson was recently announced by the U.S. Forest Service and The Trust For Public Land.   The land had been donated to the trust in 2014 by former U.S. Sen. 3-19-18 dodge county cocaine bust

A Dodge County man is in custody following a major drug bust.  The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says during the recent execution of a search warrant, police seized 732 grams of cocaine, over nine thousand dollars in cash,  and three firearms at a town of Lowell residence.  Thirty eight year old Victor Adamemares is charged with multiple drug-related offenses.   Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the cocaine has an estimated street value […]
