3-14-18 waupun man found dead from apparent drug overdose

Waupun police are investigating the death of a Waupun man.  Deputy police chief Jeremy Rasch says 27 year old Johnathon  Werner was found dead over the weekend in an East Brown Street residence.  Rasch says a preliminary investigation indicates that Werner died from a drug overdose.  He says an official cause of death won’t be made until toxicology tests are completed.

3-14-18 jury trial scheduled for fdl man charged in residential burglaries

A jury trial has been scheduled for a Fond du Lac man accused of several residential burglaries.    A five day jury trial is scheduled to begin May 21st for 27 year old Maurice Holman on charges of burglary, theft and bail jumping.  Police say Holman stole a number of guns in the break-ins last December.  He is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on  $100,000 cash bond.

3-14-18 fdl man charged in shooting incident is bound over for trial

A Fond du Lac man arrested following a shooting incident last month has been bound over for trial.    Probable cause was found at a preliminary hearing for 34 year old Timothy Williams on charges of recklessly endangering safety, felon in possession of a firearm, operating a firearm while intoxicated, and discharging a firearm within 100 feet of a building.   He is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail […]

3-14-18 two fdl brothers charged with dealing crack cocaine

Two Fond du lac men are accused of selling crack cocaine.  Isaiah and Xaver Potts, both 28 years old, made their initial court appearances this week on multiple counts of delivery of cocaine.  The brothers are accused of selling cocaine to undercover officers with the Lake Winnebago Metropolitan Enforcement Group drug unit.  A  $50,000 cash bond was ordered for Xaver Potts and $10,000 cash for Isaiah Potts.  A preliminary hearing […]

The Fond du Lac County Public Health Department is asking county residents to participagte in a community health assessment.   Public  Health nurse Joyce Mann says residents are asked to fill out a short survey to help local officials identify priority health issues.  Mann says the Healthy Fond du Lac County Steering committee will review the survey results and reveal the priority health issues for the county in June.  The survey […]
