STEVENS POINT, Wis. 3-7-18 fdl man wins $200,000 lottery prize

A Fond du Lac man has won the second top prize in the Wisconsin Lottery’s Casino Crossword scratch game.  David Bender  purchased his winning $200,000 ticket at Kwik Trip on East Johnson Street.  This was the last $200,000 top prize remaining in the Casino Crossword scratch game.

BEAVER DAM, Wis. (AP) — Police in Beaver Dam still have not been able to recover the body of a man killed in an explosion at an apartment.  The unidentified man died in the explosion Monday afternoon. 3-6-18 world championship cheese contest

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Two years after a Wisconsin cheese captured top honors, the World Championship Cheese Contest is back for another round. Organizers say they have a record 3,402 entries for the event that starts Tuesday in Madison. That's up 15 percent from 2016. Fifty-five judges will sniff, taste and inspect 121 classes of dairy products, with entries from 26 nations. Winners are to be announced Thursday night.
