3-28-18 vehicle vs. pedestrian accident in campbellsport

An elderly Campbellsport man received minor injuries when he was struck by a car this morning.  The incident happened shortly before 6am at N. Fond du Lac Ave. and Martin St. in the Village of Campbellsport.  Sheriff’s captain Ryan Waldschmidt says an eastbound vehicle on Martin St. struck the pedestrian in the crosswalk.  The 78 year old victim sustained lacerations and other minor injuries.  He was transported by ambulance to […]

3-28-18 fire destroys garage in waupun

A fire in Waupun destroyed a garage and damaged the house and  a neighbors garage.  Shortly before 11pm Tuesday firefighters were called to the scene at 206 Monroe Street and found the garage was completely engulfed in flames.  The fire caused moderate damage to the house and a neighboring garage.   The four occupants in the home escaped without injury and are staying with relatives.  The cause of the fire remains […]

3-28-18 hand grenade delays flights at mosinee airport

MOSINEE, Wis. (AP) — A hand grenade found in a checked bag at Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee led to an evacuation and delayed flights. The Transportation Security Administration says the grenade as inactive and was discarded. The device was discovered about 5:30 a.m. causing two flights to be delayed. The Marathon County Bomb Squad and Mosinee Police Department responded.
