A man who assaulted a Beaver Dam police officer has received the maximum sentence. Dodge County Circuit judge Martin DeVries sentenced 27 year old Trevell Cowan, to three years in prison and three years extended supervision. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies were involved in two high speed chases Thursday morning. The second chase began shortly before 10am when a sheriff’s deputy stopped a speeding vehicle on Highway 151 near Dehring Road.
