3-22-18 fdl’s bob’s pizza closing

Longtime Fond du lac pizza joint, Bob’s Pizza, has closed.  The business had operated in Fond du Lac since 1969.  Longtime owner Bob Gerbing sold the business to a former employee a year ago. The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership confirmed the closure on its Facebook page and says the business and property will be available for new ownership.

3-22-18 eab quarantine now covers entire state

MADISON – The entire state of Wisconsin will be placed under quarantine for emerald ash borer, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection announced today. 3-22-18 most fatal crashes in fdl county last year involved elderly drivers

3-22-18 search underway for new fdl county chief medical examiner

(AP) — The Wisconsin Assembly plans to give final approval to bills creating a $100 million school safety grant program, a $100 per-child tax rebate and an $80 million juvenile justice overhaul. 3-22-18 two men appear in fdl court on drug charges

Two Fond du Lac men face multiple drug charges.  Ulysses Brown made his initial Fond du Lac Court appearance Wednesday on two counts of delivery of cocaine and felon in possession of a firearm.  Bail was set at $125,000 cash.  Marvin Miller is charged with possession of over 40 grams of methamphetamine.  He is in jail on $50,000 cash bond.   Preliminary hearings for both men are scheduled for March 29.

3-22-18 governor wants to create economic opportunity zones

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker wants to create 120 "Economic Opportunity Zones" in Wisconsin, a designation allowed under the new federal tax law designed to spur development. Walker on Tuesday released the recommended list he is sending to the U.S. Department of Treasury which will make the final designation. The zones are in 44 counties across the state, including one in Fond du Lac and Beaver Dam.

3-22-18 new travel plaza opens in waupun
