Its that time of year when changing weather patterns are resulting a wintery mix this weekend. National Weather Service meteorologist Sean Miller says rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow are all in the forecast. “We really have a whole potpourri of weather. Its definately going to be an active weekend as far as weather goes,” Miller told WFDL news. Miller says there is a potential for some flooding depending on how much rain falls…up to three inches possible in some areas.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
