The Waupun Police Department is investigating the death of a Waupun woman. Deputy police chief Jeremy Rasch says on Sunday police were called to a residence on South State St for a 28 year old woman who was not breathing. She was pronounced dead by the Dodge County Medical Examiner. Rasch says a preliminary investigation indicates the death is not suspicious. The death remains under investigation as autopsy and toxicology results are pending.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
