SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) — Sheboygan police say the death of 1-year-old child at a babysitter’s home was accidental. Lt. Doug Teunissen says the boy crawled out of a crib Tuesday and became entangled in some window blind cords. Police say they are not recommending any charges. The child, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at St. Nicholas Hospital.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
