The North Fond du lac School superintendent says the district will apply for new safety grants. Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says the money would be used for school security and also in conjunction with the Stop the Bleed program that teaches school personnel how to respond to a bleed victim. Sadoff says there is no one foolproof way of preventing school violence. “The more we invest in relationships and create an environment for people to find value in people even if we don’t like them and realize violence is not okay I think that’s good,” Sadoff told WFDL news. Gov. Scott Walker signed a bill last month creating $100 million in grants for school security. The state Department of Justice began taking applications last week. If every school in Wisconsin got a grant the average award would be $32,000.
