4-17-18 waupun k9 helps nab escaped prisoner

The Waupun K9 officer helped apprehend an escaped prison inmate over the weekend.  Waupun Deputy Police Chief Jeremy Rasch says an inmate escaped from the prison farm on Highway 49 Saturday.  Officer Ryan Schneider and his K9 partner Boomer were first on scene.  Officer Schneider located the 25 year old Burke Center inmate in the area of STH 49 near USH 151 walking east toward the city of Waupun.  The […]

4-16-18 spring snow and ice storm for the ages

4-16-18 fire damages exterior of fdl home

Nobody was injured  in a fire  that damaged the outside of a home in Fond du Lac.   Shortly after 5pm Sunday firefighters were called to 479 North Hickory Street for a report of smoke in the house.  Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire on the exterior of the home with no interior damage.    The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical in nature. photos: fdl fire and rescue

4-16-18 hotel roof collapses under snow in ashwaubenon

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (AP) — Officials say no one was hurt when heavy snow caused part of a hotel roof to collapse in northeastern Wisconsin.  The roof collapsed Sunday over the pool at an Econo Lodge Inn & Suites in Ashwaubenon.
