OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — The financial troubles that have landed the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Foundation in Chapter 11 bankruptcy are leading to changes at similar nonprofit foundations associated with UW campuses.  The Legislative Audit Bureau has recommended more stringent accountability rules for the organizations. 4-9-18 semi slams into amtrak in dodge county

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says the crossing gate arms were down and the lights were flashing when a truck driver crashed into an Amtrak passenger train in south-central Wisconsin.  None of the 300 passengers and 11 crew members on the Chicago-bound Empire Builder was hurt, but the truck driver was taken to a hospital. 4-7-18 oshkosh stabbing

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — Police say one person is dead and another seriously injured in a stabbing in Oshkosh.  Authorities say an 18-year-old Oshkosh man died about 2 a.m. Friday at the scene of the stabbing. Another 18-year-old man was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds. He's in intensive care.  Police say they believe the suspect and victims knew each other.

A rollover crash in Dodge County seriously injured the driver.  The crash happened Friday morning on Highway 151 south of Bethel Road.   A preliminary investigation shows that a pickup was traveling south on US 151 when it began to spin, sliding through the median and through both northbound traffic lanes.  The truck slid into the east ditch and overturned.  The driver was flown from the scene by Med Flight helicopter […]

4-7-18 fdl judge rules turner case moved to dane county

A judge has moved commitment proceedings for a man dubbed the "Halloween Killer" from Fond du Lac County to Dane County.  Gerald Turner was sentenced to more than 38 years in prison for the death of 9-year-old Lisa Ann French, who was killed on Halloween night in Fond du Lac in 1973.
