4-30-18 fdl man seriously injured in one vehicle crash

A Fond du Lac man was seriously injured in a one vehicle crash over the weekend.   Twenty five year old Randy Mathers was flown by helicopter to Theda Care Medical Center in Neenah following the crash early Sunday morning on Highway 45 at Mill Rd. in the town of Empire.  Investigators say the car  crashed in the ditch, pinning the driver in the vehicle.  Mathers was not wearing a seatbelt […]

4-30-18 fire destroys barn in fdl county

Fire destroyed a barn in Fond du lac County.   Early Saturday morning firefighters were called to the Gary and Jamie Lawson residence at W11766 CTH T in the town of Springvale.   A dog, two pigs and 30 chickens died in the fire.  There were also hay  bales in the  barn.  The cause of the fire is under investigation but does not appear to be suspicious.

4-30-18 superior refinery explosion-the latest

SUPERIOR, Wis. 4-30-18 fatal helicopter crash in northern wi

HAZELHURST, Wis. (AP) — Ascension Wisconsin is suspending operations of its air and ground medical transport units following the fatal crash of a medical helicopter in northern Wisconsin. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says three flight crew members on board an Ascension Health Spirit helicopter died when it crashed in Hazelhurst, a small town about 150 miles northwest of Green Bay. 4-30-18 suv vs train crash in dodge county

Nobody was injured when an SUV collided with a train in Dodge County.  The crash happened Friday afternoon on the railroad crossing at Cross Street just east of Highway 26 in the town of Burnett.  The crossing is controlled by a yield sign.   The Sheriff’s  Office says a 27 year old Mayville man escaped injury when his SUV collided with a northbound Wisconsin & Southern freight train.
