4-6-18 agents say they found “explosives laboratory” in beaver dam apartment

BEAVER DAM, Wis. (AP) — Court records say a state Department of Justice agent found an "explosives laboratory" and white supremacist literature while investigating a fatal explosion at a Wisconsin apartment building.  State investigator Kevin Heimerl says he found 13 jars of the explosive triacetone triperoxide, or TATP, in the Beaver Dam home, along with bomb-making instructions.  Heimerl says containers labeled TATP were also found in an apartment garage.  The explosion […]

4-6-18 reedsburg man convicted of sexually assaulting children in fdl

A  Reedsburg man  has been convicted of sexually assaulting children in  Fond du Lac.   Thirty five year old Thomas Stuewer  pleaded no contest to one count of first degree sexual assault of a child and three counts were dismissed and read into the record.  The plea avoids a trial that was scheduled to begin this week.    If he had been convicted on all four charges he would have faced a […]

The Fond du Lac police department has a new tool to help fight crime and protect the community. 4-5-18 voter turnout in fdl county

The Fond du lac County Clerk says voter turnout locally was higher than the statewide turnout in this week's spring election.  Clerk Lisa Freiberg says 15,519 people cast ballot Tuesday, a 29 percent voter turnout.  The statewide turnout was 22 percent.

KIEL, Wis.
