MILWAUKEE (AP) — A federal indictment in Milwaukee alleges two men used fake construction companies to steal more than $200 million in government-funded contracts meant for businesses run by disabled veterans and disadvantaged individuals. Prosecutors announced a 22-count indictment from a grand jury Tuesday that contends the fraud took place over a 12-year span.

4-3-18 spring snow storm

A spring storm will make for slushy travel conditions Tuesday.  National Weather Service meteorologist Sean Miller says  a winter weather advisory is in effect for our listening area including Fond du Lac and Dodge counties from 10am Tuesday until 7am Wednesday.   Miller says you can expect 1-2 inches of snow and gusty winds  on Tuesday.   Miller says another 2-4 inches of snow is forecast Tuesday night.

4-3-18 fox lake woman sentenced to prison for murder cover up

A Fox Lake woman is going to prison for covering up the murder of her son's girlfriend.   Sixty five year old Marjorie Jones was sentenced to six years in prison and ten years of extended supervision Friday.  Her son, Laverne Ware Jr., is charged in the death of his girlfriend and cousin, 27-year-old Sesalie Dixon.  Police say Jones knew her son  hid Dixon’s body in a truck inside her garage. 4-3-18 convicted child sex offender moving back to fdl

Fond du Lac police are notifying the public that a convicted child sex offender is moving back into the community.  Gerald Schultz is being released from prison Tuesday and will be  living at a residence at 82 North Butler Street.  Schultz spent 13 years in prison for sexually assaulting  two boys ages 14 and 17.  He has a previous conviction for sexual assault in 1988.   He is on extended supervision […]
