(AP) — The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources approved a request Wednesday to pull millions of gallons of water daily from Lake Michigan to serve a new Foxconn Technology Group manufacturing plant, helping the Taiwanese electronics giant clear a major regulatory hurdle. Foxconn expects to begin construction on a $10 billion flat-screen plant in Mount Pleasant within weeks.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A Milwaukee County judge says a registered sex offender must be allowed to visit his severely ill 9-year-old son over the objections of Wisconsin Children's Hospital. Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged a town of Knowles residence in Dodge County.   The Waupun, Oakfield and Lamartine Fire Departments assisted at the scene Tuesday night.    Firefighters were called to the residence at W3461 County Road H shortly before midnight Tuesday.  A witness reported flames were visible coming out of the roof.
