4-26-18 dnr approves foxconn’s request to use lake michigan water

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources approved a request Wednesday to pull millions of gallons of water daily from Lake Michigan to serve a new Foxconn Technology Group manufacturing plant, helping the Taiwanese electronics giant clear a major regulatory hurdle. Foxconn expects to begin construction on a $10 billion flat-screen plant in Mount Pleasant within weeks.

4-26-18 judge says convicted sex offender must be allowed to visit son at wi children’s hospital

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A Milwaukee County judge says a registered sex offender must be allowed to visit his severely ill 9-year-old son over the objections of Wisconsin Children's Hospital. The order Wednesday still carries restrictions. Wednesday's order still carries restrictions. Forty-nine-year-old Stuart Yates must give advance notice for his visits and he can only stay for six hours. Yates must also be with his son at all times.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A Milwaukee television reporter charged with a felony for allegedly hitting another reporter at a Brewers baseball game is no longer with the station.  WITI-TV reported in a story about its reporter Adair "A.J." 4-26-18 area fire departments respond to house fire in dodge county

Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged a town of Knowles residence in Dodge County.   The Waupun, Oakfield and Lamartine Fire Departments assisted at the scene Tuesday night.    Firefighters were called to the residence at W3461 County Road H shortly before midnight Tuesday.  A witness reported flames were visible coming out of the roof.
