A Fond du Lac automobile dealership has purchased a dealership in Dodge County. Summit Automotive owners Mike Berg and Joel Zerbel have announced the opening of Summit Ford in Beaver Dam. Berg and Zerbel purchased the dealership from the Home Run Auto Group. According to a press release Summit Ford will serve Dodge County and the local area and continue to ship new and pre-owned vehicles sold to customers nationally. Summit Ford will have a large selection of pre-owned trucks, SUVs and new Ford vehicles, as well as commercial vehicles according to the release. Zerbel says customer service will be the main focus. “Customer satisfaction is important to the success of our organization,” Zerbel said.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
