Nobody was injured and one person is in custody following a shooting incident in Fond du Lac. Shortly after 1pm Monday police were called to a report of possible gunshots being fired outside a residence in the 200 block of East 9th Street. Officers arriving on the scene found evidence that shots had been fired. A witness provided a description of a possible suspect and vehicle seen leaving the area and a person of interest was taken into custody by the North Fond du Lac Police Department.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
