A Fond du Lac man convicted on multiple drug related charges is going to prison. Fond du lac judge Robert Wirtz sentenced 31 year old Danny Andrews Jr. to 20 years in prison for conspiracy to manufacture and deliver cocaine and possession of a firearm by a felon. Andrews was one of 14 people arrested for dealing nearly $10 million worth of drugs including 127 pounds of cocaine in the Fond du lac area. Police say Andrews was the ringleader of the group.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
