The Fond du Lac School District is extending an invitation to the community to get a first hand look at Fond du Lac High School’s new Architecture, Construction, Engineering Academy. Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says an open house will be held from 4:30pm to 8pm Wednesday. Sebert says a key objective of the ACE program is to promote, develop, and build the trades careers and to foster a partnership between the school, parents, and the construction industry. He says it’s the largest program of its kind in the state.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
