Fond du Lac police are releasing few details about an attack that left an elderly Fond du Lac man critically injured. Nineteen year old Ryan Robison was arrested and faces charges of attempted homicide. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says Robison is related to the 73 year old man he attacked at the Evergreen apartments Tuesday afternoon. Police are not releasing the name of the victim. He is in critical condition at Theda Care Medical Center in Neenah with severe injuries to his head and hand. Klein would not say if a weapon was used or what the motive may be.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
