MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin has filed a federal lawsuit seeking repeal of state laws that make it more difficult for women to receive abortions. The lawsuit filed Wednesday in federal court in Madison targets three laws enacted by the Republican Legislature and signed by former Gov. Scott Walker. The laws generally make it more difficult for women in more rural parts of the state to obtain abortions.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
