SCOTT, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say the pilot of a small plane was injured after making an emergency landing in northeast Wisconsin. The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at about 3:30 p.m. Friday in the town of Scott. Authorities say the pilot called 911 when his 1959 Piper Cub lost power and had to make an emergency landing.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
