A Fond du Lac man faces multiple charges following a “swatting” incident Friday night.  Shortly before 10pm Friday police were called to a residence in the 100 block of Third Street for a report that a man with a gun was holding a a woman hostage. 1-21-19 emergency plane landing sheboygan county

SCOTT, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say the pilot of a small plane was injured after making an emergency landing in northeast Wisconsin. The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office says the accident happened at about 3:30 p.m. Friday in the town of Scott. Authorities say the pilot called 911 when his 1959 Piper Cub lost power and had to make an emergency landing.

1-21-19 shrine circus coming to fdl

The Shrine Circus is coming to Fond du Lac next month for one day only.  The circus will be held at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Expo Center on  Tuesday February 25.  This circus will feature Asian elephants and Bengal tigers.  Tickets are on sale at wwwsupershrinecircus.com or an hour before the show at the the Expo Center.   There will be two shows at 4:30pm and 7:30pm.

1-19-19 empty bowls fundraiser

The recent Empty Bowls fundraiser helped raise thousands of dollars  in support of Fond du Lac area food pantries.  The 2018 event raised $8,000  to assist Broken Bread, the Fondy Food Pantry, Loaves and Fishes,  the Salvation Army, and  St. Vincent DePaul.

1-18-19 johnsonville pork sausage recall

WASHINGTON (AP) — Johnsonville LLC has recalled more than 48,000 pounds of raw ground frozen pork patties that may be contaminated with materials including black rubber. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall Friday by the company based in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. The agency says it received three consumer complaints about black rubber in the sausage.

1-18-18 nobody injured in fdl basement fire
