A Fond du Lac woman received what were described as minor stab wounds during a domestic incident Tuesday afternoon. Police were called to the Maplewood Commons Apartments on Hawthorne Drive for a report of a woman who had been stabbed earlier in the day. Police say the victim was not bleeding. A 25 year old man was arrested and faces multiple charges including recklessly endangering safety with use of a dangerous weapon and substantial battery.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
