2-25-19 evers budget-tuition freeze

todayFebruary 24, 2019

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Tony Evers’s planned budget would continue a long-running tuition freeze at UW System schools while handing the system another $150 million to help make up the revenue. Evers would also permit people who have entered the country illegally to be eligible for in-state tuition, a proposal certain to draw criticism from Republicans. Evers is set to release his full budget Thursday but his administration gave The Associated Press a preview of his plans for the UW System.
