A public information meeting was held Monday evening to unveil a concept plan for a new Fond du Lac Lakeside Park Pavilion. Fond du Lac Parks director John Redmond says construction on a new $3.5 million pavilion would begin in the summer of 2020 completed in time for Walleye Weekend 2021. Redmond says the new pavilion would be a little closer to the lake, air conditioned, and slightly larger than the existing Pavilion.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
