Strong winds, snow and icy roads made for treacherous travel conditions Sunday on roads throughout east central Wisconsin including Interstate 41.  White out conditions are being blamed for a  fatal chain reaction crash on southbound Interstate 41 near Neenah involving more than 30 vehicles. 2-25-19 lakeside park pavilion information meeting

A public information meeting is being held Monday evening to unveil a concept plan for a new  Fond du Lac Lakeside Park Pavilion.  Fond du Lac Parks director John Redmond says construction on a new $3.5 million pavilion would begin in the summer of 2020 completed in time for Walleye Weekend 2021.  The information meeting starts at 4:30pm Monday at the Fond du Lac city-county government center.

2-25-19 fraternity hazing suspension

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A fraternity at the University of Wisconsin has been suspended after younger members were allegedly pressured to run errands, wear "Dora the Explorer" backpacks and carry fruit around campus.  The university says in a release that the student-led Committee on Student Organizations determined the conduct by Alpha Sigma Phi violated its rules prohibiting hazing. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin's unrelenting winter weather is causing a buildup of snow that's damaging some farm buildings across the state. MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota National Guard and sheriff's deputies are rescuing people stranded by a blizzard in southern Minnesota.  Minnesota Homeland Security and Emergency Management says the Guard rescued 30 people in southeastern Freeborn County on Saturday night. Sheriff's deputies rescued an additional 20 people.  Gov. The Department of Public Works would like remind residents of the importance of clearing the storm catch basins located at intersections and along the streets. A  Fond du Lac dog groomer says allegations that she abused a dog are misleading.
