Donations are being accepted to help Fond du Lac County flood victims. The Fond du Lac Area United Way is currently accepting financial donations that will be allocated as needed throughout the community. Fond du lac Salvation Army social services director Ron Jacobsen says donated supplies and materials are being accepted through the Fond du Lac Salvation Army. “We’re looking for personal hygiene items, to cleaning items, mops, buckets,” Jacobsen said. People can also donate bottled water and non-perishable food items. Those looking to donate supplies and materials should call 920-923-8220.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
